ABPM

ABPM – Why Is It Done?

ABPM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring) is a test that records your blood pressure automatically at regular intervals, usually over 24 hours, while you go about your normal daily activities.

It is done to:

  • Confirm or diagnose high blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Detect white-coat hypertension
  • Identify masked hypertension
  • Check how blood pressure changes during day and night
  • Help doctors assess whether blood pressure treatment is working effectively.
